AMERICAN HORROR STORY Could Get Two Seasons In 2016!

AMERICAN HORROR STORY creator Ryan Murphy and his team of writers are considering doing two seasons of the series moving forward, Entertainment Weekly has learned. “Next year we might do a fall American Horror Story and a spring,” says Murphy. “We have to decide.”

He adds:

“We’re doing something that we’ve never done before on the show where we’re doing two different groups of writers rooms. Some of our writers will be bouncing around but a whole different group coming in late August. The next thing we’re crafting up is very, very different than this. Not smaller. But just not opulent. More rogue and more dark.”

Murphy also encourages fans not to lose hope about fan favorite Jessica Lange returning to American Horror Story because she’ll return one day. “I’ve been talking to her. It’s always possible. She’ll be back — she’s not gone forever. She wants to come back; we just have to come up with something.”

New plot details about AMERICAN HORROR STORY: HOTEL reveal that Lady Gaga’s character, The Countess, and her lover Donovan (Matt Bomer) are afflicted with an “ancient blood virus” which causes them to drink blood, although Murphy does not like to use the term “vampire.” Finn Wittrock’s character, who’s also a lover of The Countess, will be “newly turned.”

A blood virus won’t be the freakiest thing this season, however. Wes Bentley’s character, John, is playing a detective who moves into the hotel while investigating the Ten Commandments Killer, a murderer, “who arranges victims according to the biblical dictates.” Plus, there’s an even scarier villain named The Addiction Demon, the faceless man shown in one of the teasers. Murphy notes he’ll be “a creature in the same vein of Rubberman or Bloodyface” who will wield a “conical drillbit dildo.”
