Many years ago, Alicia Florrick was forced to go back to practicing law at the bottom. Throughout the years on THE GOOD WIFE we’ve seen her rise through the ranks, working her way up the law firm ladder and finally making a play for State’s Attorney. That election ended with her resignation and now she’s unsure what to do after having left the firm she founded with Cary.
In the season 7 premiere, Alicia gets back to basics and starts representing arrestees seeking release on bail in bond court (an experience that goes by too quickly and leaves her flustered). There she meets attorney Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo), who competes for her clients.
Meanwhile, Peter will be bringing in a national strategist named Ruth Eastman (Margo Martindale) to help with his presidential campaign, and this will create an interesting dynamic with Eli in the process.
The Good Wife returns for an all new season on October 4 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
