THE GRINDER Premiere Sneak Peeks: Not a Lawyer, but He Plays One on TV

Rob Lowe and Fred Savage star as two very different brothers in THE GRINDER, the hilarious new comedy from Fox.

Lowe is Dean Sanderson, a charismatic and handsome actor who has spent almost a decade on TV playing “The Grinder”, a hard-nosed lawyer who never settles. Savage is Stewart, a actual small-town attorney who can’t speak without cue-cards and always wants to settle cases.

With his show finally over, Dean has come home to see his brother, his brother’s family, and his father to figure out his next steps. When he overhears his brother and father talking about settling a case involving some tenants, he suggests that they fight back. But Stewart thinks that Dean — who isn’t actually a lawyer — should mind his own business.

Still, Dean’s charisma in the courtroom is impossible to miss and when he’s determined to make a go at being a lawyer, Stewart thinks he’s crazy. But it’s possible Stewart could learn a thing or two from Dean and could, in return, give his brother some meaning in his life.

Don’t miss the series premiere of The Grinder tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
