There’s bad blood between two former allies on THE ORIGINALS: Davina and Marcel. With Davina now a full-fledged witch and acting as Regent, she makes it clear in a clip from the season premiere that “witches don’t do favors for vampires, including daylight rings”. Despite Marcel’s pleading, Davina says that she can’t risk being seen as a vampire sympathizer, so her old friend will have to find another solution to his problem. In the episode we’ll learn that Marcel has regained control of the French Quarter and comes up with a new strategy to recruit vampires. But when Davina makes a decision we’ll find her and Marcel on opposite sides of an escalating conflict between witches and vampires.
Elsewhere in the season premiere, there’s a war brewing between the sire lines. Klaus and Elijah are divided after their showdown against Dahlia and Freya hasn’t been successful in bringing the brothers back together. When Lucien — an old vampire protege of Klaus — arrives in New Orleans, Klaus is suspicious about his agenda involving the remaining Mikaelson sire lines.
THE ORIGINALS returns for its third season on Thursday, October 8 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
