The citizens of Central City are thrilled to have a superhero in their midst in the season 2 premiere of THE FLASH. After the singularity opened above the city, it was impossible for anyone to ignore the Red Streak that helped save all of their lives. And so, when the show picks up several months after the events of the season 1 finale, the people of Central City are preparing to honor their hero with Flash Day.
But Barry is reluctant to participate, not feeling that he was really the hero that saved the day all of those months ago. Still, his friends and loved ones encourage him to attend the ceremony and, as we can see in the clip below, he does show up. But so does someone else: Atom Smasher.
