ARROW Preview: Anarky in Star City

Oliver had settled nicely into domestic life over the ARROW hiatus, even learning that he had quite the talent for cooking. But back in Star City (now renamed), everything was going to hell. Damien Darhk’s “ghosts” were terrorizing the city and, one night, they took out most of the city’s leadership. Desperate for help, Laurel and Thea sought out Oliver and asked him to come back home and don the Arrow hood once again. Oliver was afraid to do so, not eager to delve back into the dark life he had lived for so many years, but Felicity really wanted to get back to helping people.

Back in the city, Oliver had to deal with a Diggle that still clearly held a grudge as well as a rash of bombs set to blow up the city’s train station. He managed to foil the bombing, but met Damien in the process and discovered the man’s mysticism abilities (which included some form of telekinesis). And at the end of the episode we learned that Quentin was working under duress for Damien. In the final moments we got the biggest shock as Oliver stood in front of a fresh grave six months down the line, visited by Barry. Who had died? We don’t know that big spoiler yet.

In next week’s ARROW, an old friend of the Queen family announces that she’ll be running for mayor. Considering city leaders are being murdered by Damien, Thea and Oliver are concerned for their friend. But when she announces her candidacy they vow to protect her. Elsewhere in the episode, Felicity gets to work at Palmer Tech and Thea starts to feel the effects of the Lazarus Pit.

Don’t miss an all new episode of ARROW on October 14 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
