Funny Business: George Dalton Talks WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER: FIRST DAY OF CAMP

George Dalton appears as the talented young camp DJ on Netflix’s original series, WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER: FIRST DAY OF CAMP. I caught up with the talented young actor about his work on WET HOT, what it was like working with such a great cast, and what he’s loving on TV right now.

What was your favorite part of working on WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER?
George Dalton: Everything! From the set and location to the director and cast, it was an amazing experience!

You’ve been acting since you were little. Do you think it’s something you’ll want to pursue for a long time?
Most definitely! There are so many things I love to do both in front and behind the camera…from directing and writing to acting. So, I see myself having a very long career in the industry.

For people who are unfamiliar with the show, what can you tell us about your character, Arty?
Arty is the camp radio DJ, a carefree kind of guy who spends most of his time at camp in the radio cabin spinning tunes.

How was it getting to work with all of the incredible comedians in the cast? What were some of the things you learned from working with them?
Amazing! They really taught me to just relax and have fun!

Do you think there will be a WET HOT season 2? If so, would you want to do it?
No one knows yet, but it would definitely be amazing to play Arty again!

What are some of your favorite shows on TV right now?
I’m slightly obsessed with AMERICAN HORROR STORY and I’m counting down the days until the new season!
