SUPERGIRL: Burning Questions For The Coming Season

The new hit series, SUPERGIRL, flies onto the scene bringing some burning questions about upcoming episodes…

1.  Kara, aka Supergirl, (Melissa Benoist) and her co-worker James, fka “Jimmy” Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) have a definite spark.  Will James be Kara’s BF or BFF?

2.  Co-worker/pal Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan) shares his curious name with DC’s evil villain, Winslow Schott known as “Toyman.”  In the comics, Toyman murders Cat Grant’s son, Adam.  As Toyman’s supposed son is named Anton, is Winn a relative, a strangely coincidental name or the future Toyman?

3.  Cat Grant, (Calista Flockhart) CatCo Worldwide Media magnate, has been many things in the DC Universe…a Daily Planet reporter, an alcoholic, a talk show host and a cougar who once had her sights set on Jimmy Olsen.  Will she run an exposé on SUPERGIRL to increase company profits?

4.  Another blast from James Olsen’s past is ex-girlfriend, Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan-Tatum), sister to famous journalist and Superman’s girlfriend/wife Lois Lane.  With the heat turning up between Kara and James, will Lucy blow her cool?

5.  CBS has promised that SUPERGIRL will have to face some of the most dangerous villains in the multiverse, including Reactron (Chris Browning), Hellgrammite (Justice Leak), Livewire (Brit Morgan), and Red Tornado (Iddo Goldberg).  Will there be any family members and other Fort Rozz escapees out to knock the Girl of Steel to the ground?

6.  Kara’s sister, Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) and her boss, Hank Henshaw (David Harewood) are part of an “alien containment” task force.  Do they already know about Kandor/New Krypton and are they keeping it from Kara?

7.  Where can SUPERGIRL be seen all around Burbank?  (Hint: The Warner Bros. water tower)

SUPERGIRL premieres tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT following THE BIG BANG THEORY and then moves to its regular timeslot, 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, on Monday, November 2 on CBS (Global TV in Canada)
