In England, the queen tells her adviser that she will not allow a man to rule her or her country, even as she faces increasing pressure to wed. When he points out that not producing an heir will weaken her claim to the throne, Elizabeth asserts that she will do away with the biggest threat to her rule: Mary.
Meanwhile, in France, Mary receives an urgent message from her sick mother about the dire situation in Scotland. Worried for her country, Mary turns to her husband for help. But with Francis’ health declining, is there any way to actually help him?
Finally, Catherine will go to battle with Narcisse as she fights to become regent to Charles.
