NCIS: LOS ANGELES Sneak Peeks: Charismatic

If a church is charismatic, its members may believe that they have divinely inspired powers.

If a man is extremely charismatic and has a large following, he may be called a “cult leader.”

If a man is extremely charismatic, has a large following, is incredibly talented and is fluent in four languages, he is called “Sebastian Roché.”

Tonight, the divinely inspiring Roché (THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, SUPERNATURAL, FRINGE, THE ORIGINALS, et al) takes on the role as the head of a congregation whose beliefs are not-quite-mainstream on NCIS: LOS ANGELES.

Guest starring as Lee Ashman, the captivating head of a religious cult, The Church of the Unlocked Mind, Ashman likely has had a hand in recruiting a former Defense Department employee, DARPA engineer, David Ramsey (Chris Dougherty).

The Church of The Unlocked Mind may be able to brainwash classified information from Ramsey in his current psychologically vulnerable state.  His brother recently died and, like many, David is searching for answers.

The church also seems to be searching for answers to questions about government secrets, such as cutting-edge technology in weaponry like a 50-caliber guided bullet.  The U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency has footage of a church executive meeting with a Chinese national who is suspected of being a spy.

The cause for concern seems warranted when Ramsey’s wife, Kate (Sarah Lafleur) claims to have escaped from the church compound and made her way to a police station.

Granger (Miguel Ferrer) wants more information about the workings of the church and sends Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) undercover to investigate potential sale of classified material.

“Unlocked Mind,” was directed by Chris O’Donnell who plays G. Callen.  NCIS: LOS ANGELES also stars LL COOL J, Linda Hunt, Barrett Foa and Renée Felice Smith.  The episode was written by Executive Producer, Frank Military.

Also guest starring in “Unlocked Mind” are Julian Acosta, Lauren Bowles, Josh Braaten, Scott Subiono, Mark Rhino Smith, Debra Leigh, Annie Little, Jessica Jade Andres, Zoe Hall, Candace Hammer, Al Carabello, Alex Blue Davis, Tony Elias and Jeronimo Spinx.

NCIS: LOS ANGELES airs on November 9 at 10:00 p.m. on CBS.
