NCIS: NEW ORLEANS Sneak Peek: Determination Over Darkness

The Big Easy is no stranger to disasters, yet its people are resilient.  Their determination to make their city thrive in the face of adversity is showcased tonight on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS.

There is a citywide blackout in New Orleans when Francesca “Frankie” Alvarez (Shani Atias) gets an upsetting phone message from her fiancé, Petty Officer Nick Benton, a recruiter at nearby Belle Chasse.

Luckily, she has found her way to NCIS: NEW ORLEANS and to Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula), the dad of her longtime friend, Laurel.

When Frankie is able to charge her phone with Dwayne’s help, she hears Nick say “if I don’t make it, I was trying to give you everything…” on a message.  He has not been heard from since right after the blackout started.

Pride does what he can to allay the young woman’s fears, but the cryptic message causes concern.

With the city plunged into darkness, the NCIS team is doing everything it can to help, as law enforcement and emergency response teams are hampered by the blackout.  The ever-resolute medical examiner, Loretta Wade (CCH Pounder), is not one to give in to inconvenience and performs an autopsy by candlelight.

As the city gropes its way through the blackness, the NCIS: NEW ORLEANS team investigate the “monsters” that come out in the dark.

NCIS: NEW ORLEANS also stars Lucas Black, Zoe McLellan, Rob Kerkovich, Daryl ‘Chill’ Mitchell and Shalita Grant.  Guest starring on tonight’s episode, “Darkest Hour,” are Jason Gray-Stanford, Michael Grant Terry, Casey Hendershot, Lyle Brocato, Scotty Whitehurst, Walker Babington, Kamille McCuin, Tania Dall and TRUE BLOOD’s Jessica Tuck, just a stone’s throw from the fictional Bon Temps.

“Darkest Hour” was written by Co-Executive Producer, Laurie Arent and directed by Michael Zinberg.

Congratulations to series producer, Joseph Zolfo, who has been asked to be the featured speaker at the fall graduation ceremonies at University of New Orleans!

Sneak peeks are below and don’t miss NCIS: NEW ORLEANS on November 17 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
