Just a few weeks ago, there were rumors swirling that IRON FIST might be off the table for Marvel TV and Netflix but now ComicBook.com has confirmed that the series has chosen its showrunner: Scott Buck. Buck served as executive producer on Showtime’s DEXTER and as producer on HBO’S SIX FEET UNDER. Marvel describes Iron Fist as follows:
“Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.”
No timeline has been given for IRON FIST’s debut and little is known about the plan for the series so far. FIST will be the fourth and final solo series with Marvel and Netflix before they meet for a DEFENDERS mini-series.
