ARROW January Preview: Oliver Seeks Revenge

Damien Darhk attacked Oliver’s clean-up project at Star City Bay in the mid-season finale of ARROW. While no one died, Oliver decided to expose Darhk’s name during a press conference. Furious that Oliver had exposed him, Darhk retaliated by crashing Oliver’s holiday party and making off with Felicity, Diggle and Thea. The Green Arrow headed out on a rampage, trying to find Darhk, until Malcolm arrived at the lair to help Oliver find Thea. Ultimately, Oliver’s plan was to turn himself over to Darhk in exchange for the others.

Darhk revealed to Oliver that he wanted him to help HIVE with a project when they instilled him as mayor. He also gave Oliver and Felicity a chance to say goodbye before he decided to teach Oliver a lesson by gassing Felicity, Thea and Diggle to death. Enter the Black Canary and Malcolm as the Green Arrow’s stand-in. The trio were rescued, while Malcolm went up against Darhk himself. Malcolm managed to blow up Darhk, but the others were hesitant to believe he was really dead and they were right to be suspicious, because he wasn’t. In the end, Oliver gave another public speech to rally the citizens and then proposed to Felicity, who accepted.

But all was not well in the end, because as Oliver and Felicity were driven home they were ambushed by a firing squad. And while Oliver managed to drive them out of there, Felicity was shot.

When ARROW returns in January, Felicity is being wheeled into surgery, but a preview for the next episode hints that she doesn’t survive. Could it be — is Felicity really dead?!

ARROW will return with all new episodes on Wednesday, January 20 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
