THE 100 Season 3 Preview: Clarke Has a Target on Her Back

Clarke committed mass murder at the end of THE 100’s second season and she chose not to return to the arkers’ home base because of it. Instead, she headed out on her own into the woods.

In a new preview for season 3, we learn that Clarke is being hunted by a great many people. At Comic-Con this summer, Eliza Taylor said that Clarke will be on a “walkabout” in season 3. Because what Clarke did at the end of the season was “so huge and traumatic”, she’s running away, which is “very un-Clarke-like. When we pick things up I think she’s going to be losing it a little.” Meanwhile, Kane is also explaining to Bellamy that the “peace” they have established might simply be an illusion, but there’s no sense in exposing that to their people.

One thing that is missing from the preview is a real look at Jaha and his discovery of Alie, the artificial intelligence who seems responsible for the destruction of the world. THE 100 will be focusing more on sci-fi aspects in season 3 as we learn about Alie and the nuclear destruction of the planet.

THE 100 will return for its third season on Thursday, January 21 at 9/8c on The CW.
