NCIS: NEW ORLEANS Photo Preview: Happy NOLA-days

The Malloy brothers have had their share of problems and solutions on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS  They were abandoned by their drug-addicted mother, and their drug-dealing father also happens to be a murderer.  Elder brother, Danny (Christopher Meyer), was having a tough time trying to support his younger sibling, CJ (Dani Dare).

If not for the kindness of Dr. Loretta Wade (CCH Pounder) who took the Malloy brothers in as foster children, the young men might have been struggling down a much different path.

The bad luck did not stop after Loretta’s kind gesture, however.  The brothers witnessed a traumatic plane crash at a air show, and a gunman held Danny, Loretta and Sebastian (Rob Kerkovich) hostage in the morgue.

Tonight, Danny’s luck seems to have run out when he is found with possible stolen goods that have a connection to a string of burglaries and a murder case.  When he is arrested and questioned, will Loretta be forced to take sides in the tug of war between her love for her son and her dedication to justice?

It is not all sturm und drang, however.  It is the holiday season, and despite the creepy Santa and elves in masks, NCIS: NEW ORLEANS knows how to party.

Sonja (Shalita Grant) draws Pride’s (Scott Bakula) name for a Secret Santa gift exchange and gets no end of grief about it from Lasalle (Lucas Black) and Brody (Zoe McLellan).

Christmas in the Big Easy promises fun, food and fabulous music, and tonight seems like no exception as Dwayne tickles the ivories at his holiday-festive bar.

NCIS: NEW ORLEANS also stars Daryl ‘Chill’ Mitchell as Investigative Computer Specialist Patton Plame.  Guest starring on tonight’s episode, “Blue Christmas,” are Christina Cox, Rick Peters, Emily Marie Palmer, JC Gonzalez, Erica Dasher, Jeff Pope, Elise Fyke and Marcus Lyle Brown.

“Blue Christmas” was written by Zach Strauss and directed by Tony Wharmby.

NCIS: NEW ORLEANS airs tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
