Robert Durst’s final statement on THE JINX. I had heard about it before watching it, but what a chilling ending.
Most Over-Hyped Moment That Didn’t Quite Live up to the Hype
Jessica Jones killing Kilgrave — I don’t know if this was overhyped so much as HUGELY anticipated after so many great episodes, but it was kind of underwhelming. It feels like there should have been something *more* after so much build-up. That being said, the show as a whole was terrific.

-BLOOD & OIL — I loved DALLAS and was hoping this could be cool, but it was just kind of lame.

BLINDSPOT and SUPERGIRL. I enjoyed them both, but too much TV got in the way and some shows were left behind. Other than that, I’ve got a million screeners to watch of new shows — BILLIONS is the one I’m most looking forward to right now.

I can’t settle on just one show. But I can settle on two: ABC’s THE GOLDBERS and BLACK-ISH. Both are hilarious, and who trapped on a dessert island wouldn’t need a good laugh? THE GOLDBERGS reminds us of our good old days of youth and those crazy 1980s, and BLACK-ISH looks at life through the lens of a modern-day African-American family living through today’s culture wars, all through humor and a good deal of empathy.
Coolest Unexpected Plot Twist
QUANTICO’S fall season finale where we discovered who done it: the son of the head of the FBI, who all along we assumed was a good guy.
Best Episode
LIMITLESS: Brian bugs the head of the FBI’s CJC office for his own “HQ!” office for capturing the Top Ten Most Wanted criminals. It’s a playful episode using everyone in the office, including the janitor, to hunt down bad guys, in pursuit of Brian’s ultimate dream.
Favorite Late Night Host
David Letterman, by far the funniest man ever on late night television. Sorry to see him retire.

I would choose CW’s THE 100 because it is brimming with great advise and examples about how to survive in the wilderness, which would be really helpful if I was on an island.
Coolest Unexpected Plot Twist:
While the entirety of Shonda Rhyme’s HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER seems to be one giant plot twist, I particularly liked when Annalise was revealed to be bisexual when she kissed (hard-core made out with) Eve, revealed to be her lawyer ex-girlfriend!

I couldn’t possibly pick! The freshest in my mind though is the DOCTOR WHO Christmas Special “The Husbands of River Song”.

The premiere episode of UnREAL. It was hyped as good tv and it turned out to be amazing, phenomenal, heart-stoppingly incredible tv.
Most Over-Hyped Moment That Didn’t Quite Live Up to the Hype
John Stewart’s final episode of THE DAILY SHOW. He was such an amazing, funny, important figure in our national discussion that I thought having just a bunch of his old guest’s come on was a bit predictable. Although the scene where Stephen Colbert gave a personal Thank-You was sweet, I would have loved to see more of an overview of Stewart’s time on the air.
