NCIS: LOS ANGELES Sneak Peeks: “Rats Paraded A Rap Star”

NCIS: LOS ANGELES is billing 2016 as “The Year of the Hero” and gets a jumpstart on the action.

Under the direction of Karen Gaviola (SUPERGIRL, GRIMM), that action is sure to be explosive (“picture-pun” intended).

The team follows a lead on Gunnery Sergeant Hugh Patterson (guest star Emerson Brooks) who has collapsed and vomited blood on the range at Camp Pendleton.  Patterson is suffering from acute radiation syndrome, and several possibilities for the contamination exist, including terrorism, pirated radioactive material or a dirty bomb.

Since Patterson had been moonlighting as a security guard at a decommissioned power plant, Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) go undercover to investigate, while Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) find themselves in a face-to-face encounter with a suspicious device.

As Callen is rumored to find out answers as to the identity of his long-lost father in February, he probably will survive the encounter.

Speaking of hip hop/pop-rap star, LL Cool J, have you figured out why we used the headline above?  Check out the clips below and reread the part of the headline in quotation marks.  (Hint:  It is a palindrome.)

NCIS: LOS ANGELES also stars Linda Hunt, Barrett Foa, Renée Felice Smith and Miguel Ferrer.  Guest starring on tonight’s episode, “Core Values” are Raphael Sbarge, Michael B. Silver, John Lacy, Poorna Jagannathan, Pisay Pao, Bobby Neely, Anny Rosario, Ludwig Manukian and Matt Sigloch.  The episode was written by Joe Sachs.

NCIS: LOS ANGELES airs tonight (January 4) at 9:59 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
