REIGN Photos: Political Intrigue, a New Crush and an Arranged Marriage

REIGN will be going on an extended hiatus at the end of January to make room for THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and THE ORIGINALS on Friday night, but before the show takes a break there’s a lot of courtly intrigue coming, along with political backstabbing and a royal wedding.

Episode 3.08 “Our Undoing” (January 8): As Mary (Adelaide Kane) and Catherine (Megan Follows) deal with the aftermath of Prince Don Carlos’ (guest star Mark Ghanimé) accident, Mary realizes that she will have to marry for the good of her country and not follow her heart. When Catherine is accused of poisoning Francis (Toby Regbo), Lola (Anna Popplewell) is shocked when Mary thinks Narcisse (Craig Parker) framed Catherine in order to become Regent of France.

Episode 3.09 “Wedlock” (January 15): Mary (Adelaide Kane) becomes suspicious of Prince Don Carlos’ (guest star Mark Ghanimé) true condition and relies on Gideon (Ben Geurens) to help her uncover the truth. Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) makes a shocking discovery which could change the course of her reign over England and forces Dudley (Charlie Carrick) to make a tough decision. Meanwhile, Narcisse (Craig Parker) forces Claude (Rose Williams) to marry someone of his choosing, against her wishes.

Episode 3.10 “Bruises That Lie” (January 22): Mary (Adelaide Kane) struggles to resist her feelings for Gideon (Ben Geurens) as she works to align herself politically with potential allies. Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) and Greer (Celina Sinden) find themselves in similar heart-wrenching situations with the potential for very different outcomes. Catherine (Megan Follows) and Narcisse (Craig Parker) continue their vicious power struggle over the Regency, while Claude (Rose Williams) finds herself in the fight of her life on her wedding night.
