The X-Files are being re-opened and Mulder and Scully are returning to tackle new conspiracies and strange creatures!
Thirteen years after the original series run, Fox Mulder and Dana Scully (no longer together, by the way) are approached by Tad O’Malley (guest star Joel McHale), a web-TV show host and popular conspiracy theorist. While Mulder and Scully have severed ties with the FBI, O’Malley finds them with the help of Dir. Walter Skinner. He then introduces the pair to Sveta, a possible alien abductee. But the information that she shares with them causes Mulder to challenge what he believes about aliens and government cover-ups.

In the second episode of the new season, a scientist suddenly commits suicide, leading Mulder and Scully to investigate whatever unseen force could have driven him to do it. What they find is a laboratory where extreme genetic experimentation has been going on for decades and where they have been breeding subjects with dangerous power. Doug Savant (DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES) will be making a guest appearance.
