Peter’s hopes to win the White House were dashed in last week’s episode of THE GOOD WIFE when his campaign headed to Iowa for the primaries and he came in dead last. In this week’s episode it’s time to give up the presidential dream and get back to work.
Peter dropping out of the presidential race means that Ruth is leaving his office and Eli is back in charge as Peter re-focuses on being governor. There’s a nice moment between former rivals Eli and Ruth as she packs up and she warns him to watch Peter’s back.
Meanwhile, Alicia and Cary come together to defend a former client who is facing a multi-million dollar lawsuit over ownership rights to his new music. And Alicia’s neighbours are unhappy that her law firm is operating out of her apartment and threaten to evict her. There’s also a shift in Alicia’s firm as she fires Grace so that she can concentrate more on her school work and Eli suggests that his daughter go to work for Alicia.
