NCIS: LOS ANGELES Sneak Peeks: A Haunting

Back in 2014, Granger (Miguel Ferrer) sent NCIS: LOS ANGELES agent, Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), to Afghanistan to deal with a possible rogue asset nicknamed the White Ghost.  The asset turned out to be Kensi’s ex-fiancé, Jack Simon (guest star Matthew Del Negro).

Kensi lined up for the shot, but when she saw Jack through the scope of her sniper rifle, she intentionally missed the target.  She was taken hostage and imprisoned by the Taliban, alongside Jack.

Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), Callen (Chris O’Donnell), Sam (LL Cool J), and Granger traveled to Afghanistan to save the pair.

Questions were raised about the motives of the CIA in designating Jack as an NCIS target.  How had he changed when goaded to subjecting another man to torture, and would the change in his humanity alter Kensi’s past faith in him?

The experience changed the team, especially Blye, whose belief in a man she once loved had been compromised.  Even as she collapsed into Marty’s arms, devastated by the ordeal, she continued to look at Jack with questions to be answered and things left to be said.

Tonight, Jack is stateside and under the protection of NCIS: LOS ANGELES.  When Hetty (Linda Hunt) sends Kensi and Deeks to guard someone, she neglects to tell them that the person they have been assigned to protect is Jack Simon.

As to why NCIS: LOS ANGELES has a vested interest in protecting Simon…it seems as though he is being targeted for a list of important contacts in Afghanistan in his possession…a list that someone wants and may go to extraordinary lengths obtain it.

How will Jack’s return to their lives affect Deeks and Kensi’s relationship?  The couple just decided to move in together, but will the unresolved issues haunt Kensi in a way that only a “ghost” could?

Funny clip of the week…a deluded guy named Junior (Alex Weed) and his buddies taking on Callen and Sam with an electric drill for a weapon.  Bad idea, Junior.  Bad idea.

NCIS: LOS ANGELES also stars Barrett Foa and Renée Felice Smith.  Other guest stars on tonight’s episode, “Come Back,” are Jason Brooks, Azim Rizk, Bahram Khosraviani and Christopher Allen.   “Come Back” was written by Erin Broadhurst and directed by Eric Laneuville.

NCIS: LOS ANGELES airs tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
