DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Sneak Peek: Felonious Hunks

A rip-roaring (pun intended) stunt spectacular is on the canvas in tonight’s episode of DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW.  Check out the “combat-ballet” in the sneak peek below as Vandal Savage addresses a warehouse full of bad guys (with a few good guys hidden in the mix).

Tonight’s episode, “Stein vs Stein” is Part 2 of last week’s pilot in which Time Master, Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), managed to do the unexpected…recruit an extremely diverse set of crimefighters and start molding it into a team.

A back-from-the-dead assassin, a physicist/entrepreneur/billionaire, two reincarnated lovers from ancient Egypt, a genius professor, a former high school football player and a couple of wisecracking-but-dangerous criminals…all assembled to fight a villainous immortal, Vandal Savage (guest star Casper Crump).

Some were a bit less enthusiastic than others.  Professor Stein (Victor Garber), intent on a new adventure, had to drug football player Jefferson “Jax” Jackson (Franz Drameh)…the other half of Stein’s “Firestorm”…to get him aboard the time-jumping spaceship, the Waverider.  Only Jax’s desire to be part of a team again drove the young man to overcome his original reticence.

Having been killed 206 times by the evil immortal, the reincarnated Egyptians also had reservations until they met their son from a previous lifetime.  The death of their son at the hands of one of Savage’s goons solidified Hawkman’s (guest star Falk Hentschel) and Hawkgirl’s (Ciara Renée) positions as part of the team.

Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz) threw in with the ragtag bunch, looking for her place in the world after coming back from the dead.

Similarly, Atom (Brandon Routh), who was thought dead, realized that after returning to his old life, he had made no impact on the world.  Seizing the chance offered by Hunter, Atom/Ray Palmer is determined to leave a legacy this time around…by becoming a legend.

What of the criminal duo who could care less about history’s opinion?  Just say that there are easier decades in which to steal, rob and commit a rainbow of felonies.  Count on hotties Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Mick Rory/HeatWave (Dominic Purcell) to exploit those security weaknesses and provide some great one-liners along the way, especially when Snart insists on leading the team.

Tonight, the Legends go in search of Savage and infiltrate a munitions deal that involves a gaggle of ruthless criminals, and the timeline to the future is in jeopardy of being disrupted when a piece of Ray’s Atom suit falls into the wrong hands during a fight.

With the potential of disastrous consequences affecting the future, Professor Stein attempts to contact his younger self (Graeme McComb guest starring as a younger Martin Stein) and enlists assistance from Sara and Jax.

Snart and Rory have a little larceny in mind, but the Atom, not completely trusting of the pair, insists on accompanying them on their mission, while Carter helps Kendra remember something important.

What is this nefarious deal that the Legends are trying to thwart?  Would it help to know that ARROW’s Damien Dahrk (guest star Neal McDonough) is in the mix?

Tonight’s episode of DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, “Stein vs. Stein,” (aka Pilot Part 2) was written by Executive Producers Phil Klemmer & Marc Guggenheim and Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and directed by Producer Glen Winter.  Other guest stars include Amy Pemberton (as the voice of Gideon), Peter Francis James, Stephanie Corneliussen and Nikolai Witschl.

Check out the fabulous fight scene, plus a clip on the Waverider space/timeship and Snart’s bid to run the op below.

DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW airs tonight on The CW at 8:00 p.m. or in Canada on CTV at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.
