Netflix may have released the final DAREDEVIL season 2 preview yesterday, but the streaming service has just dropped a featurette focusing on one of the new “villains”: the Punisher.
At Matt finds out, there’s talk of an army in town. But it turns out it’s just one man: the Punisher (a.k.a. the Grim Reaper). He’s killing with impunity and mowing down everyone in his path. As star Jon Bernthal explains “he’s not a villain, he’s not a superhero. He’s trying to make people pay for what they’ve done. Daredevil’s brand of justice is ridiculous to Frank [Punisher], yet he’s such a worthy adversary.” While both men are vigilantes, you can see the difference in the video below: Daredevil punches criminals and puts them in jail, but the Punisher ensures they won’t hurt anyone else ever again.
Season 2 of DAREDEVIL premieres on March 18 at 12:01 p.m. PT.
