RUSH HOUR is a reimagining of the hit film franchise of the same name and is a buddy-cop drama/action show about a maverick LAPD detective and a by-the-book detective from Hong Kong who must learn to work together.
Detective Lee (Jon Foo) is a martial arts artist who comes to Los Angeles to avenge his sister’s alleged death and to learn more about her former dealings with a Chinese organized crime ring. He’s paired up with Detective Carter (Justin Hires), a wisecracking cop with little regard for the rules. But despite Carter’s bad behavior even his boss, Captain Cole, knows that Carter is a good cop who gets results. The pair are also helped by Sergeant Didi Diaz, Carter’s friend and former partner who isn’t afraid to get on Carter’s case when he misbehaves.
While Carter and Lee have cultural differences and drive each other crazy, they can’t deny that they make a good team.
