Things get a bit complicated for the doctors of CHICAGO MED as they are faced with a difficult request from a patient’s husband and a man who believes that a self-amputation is the way to go.
Dr. Charles’ latest patient is brought in by Dr. Choi and firmly believes that his arm doesn’t belong and the best thing to do to solve that problem is to amputate his own arm and Dr. Charles struggles with the diagnosis. As April befriends the father of a child who is admitted after swallowing magnets, Dr. Rhodes, and Dr. Manning become concerned about the potential complications.
All the while, Dr. Halsted is faced with another tough situation after having to confront the husband of a patient of his with the grim prognosis. While that may be difficult in itself, he gets an unusual request from the woman’s husband which leads to both Dr. Halstead and Sharon to some surprising information.
Elsewhere on CHICAGO MED, fresh off the heels of deciding pathology, Reese gets information about where she’ll be doing her residency but she seems to have some reservations about the choice.
