Sometimes, you have to worry about people who do nothing except listen to others complain all day…spouses, parents, children, psychologists…so, when NCIS: LOS ANGELES Operational Psychologist Nate Getz gets an opportunity to stop shrinking NCIS agents to spend some time as an undercover agent, why wouldn’t he choose to be part of the action rather than listen about it after the fact?
After twelve weeks of being undercover and working for an infamous crime boss, Nate (recurring guest star Peter Cambor) definitely should have checked in with Hetty (Linda Hunt) by now.
Has something happened to Nate during his embed on a mission that connects organized crime to terrorism?
When security cameras pick up what appears to be a carjacking of a produce truck, Eric (Barrett Foa) and Nell (Renée Felice Smith) point out that the produce truck actually is carrying a load of AK-47s.
When Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) recognize Nate from the footage, Granger (Miguel Ferrer) explains that the psychologist has been undercover for over 12 weeks without contact, which may be more than the most stable personality can stand without identifying with his faux friends.
What begins as a rescue mission with Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) headed out to the Valley to rescue their friend, they find the tides have changed, and Nate seems to have flipped to the wrong side of the law.
When Callen ends up abducted by the group and being questioned by Nate, is the psychologist trying to deliver confidential information about the operation to NCIS: LOS ANGELES, or has his months of captivity caused him to go rogue?
