NEW GIRL Renewed for Season 6 by Fox

Fox has dished out an official renewal to comedy series NEW GIRL, ordering a sixth season for the 2016-2017.

“Every network comedy should aspire to what Liz Meriwether is achieving in NEW GIRL, with its bravura dialogue, inventive and witty performances by the talented cast and emotionally engaging storytelling,” said David Madden, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. “The series is as creatively strong today as it ever was, we want to congratulate NEW GIRL on reaching its milestone 100th episode and we can’t wait for the next subversive and hilarious chapter of these characters’ lives.”

Fox also revealed that as the show heads toward its season 5 finale and the wedding of Schmidt and Cece (Hannah Simone), additional guest stars appearing on NEW GIRL include Megan Fox, who returns as Reagan; and Damon Wayans, Jr., reprising his role as Coach;  as well as Nasim Pedrad (SCREAM QUEENS), Sonequa Martin-Green (THE WALKING DEAD), Kal Penn (HOUSE), Rob Riggle (FOX NFL SUNDAY), Meghan Rath (COOPER BARRETT’S GUIDE TO SURVIVING LIFE), Nora Dunn (SNL”), Kim Wayans (IN LIVING COLOR) and Peter Gallagher (TOGETHERNESS).

NEW GIRL airs on Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
