MADAM SECRETARY: Elizabeth Heads to the UN (the Real One)

Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord is visiting the United Nations and so is the cast of MADAM SECRETARY in their upcoming episode.

In “Ghost Detainee”, Elizabeth heads to the United Nations General Assembly room (which was filmed on location in New York) to condemn the terrorist group Hizb-al Shahid and proposes forming a coalition against them with the Russian Foreign Ministry.

CBS has prepared a little behind the scenes look at the cast visiting the historic room. Apparently the show didn’t think they would ever get a chance to appear there, but once they did they went all out and they’ve filled the seats with extras dressed up as the various multi-state delegations.

Elsewhere in the episode, the talks with the Russian Federation create a conflict of interest between Elizabeth and Henry, who is searching for a way to save Dmitri’s ill sister, Talia Petrov, from the Russian government.

Don’t miss an all new episode of MADAM SECRETARY on April 17 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS (U.S.) and Global TV (Canada).
