CHICAGO FIRE Sneak Peek: Casey Tackles Gang Violence

On this week’s CHICAGO FIRE, Casey is approached by a woman who urges him to use his position as Alderman to make a change about the gang life in his ward. Her grandson, a high schooler Casey rescued earlier that day, was attacked by a gang three days before graduation. The grandmother insists the boy is not affiliated with that type of lifestyle, he is an honor roll student who has been looking forward to graduation his whole life.

When Casey goes to talk to the grandson, who is still in the hospital, he offers to drive him to the graduation ceremony himself. When the boy refuses, Casey takes on a more serious tone and says that it is not a safe idea to let the kid out on the streets without protection. In a valiant effort, the young man claims that if the gang members who did this don’t want him to graduate, they will have to kill him themselves.

Catch an all new CHICAGO FIRE tonight (April 19) at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
