This week’s CHICAGO MED has the doctor’s dealing with a misdiagnosis, a hoarder, and a surprise visit.
Dr. Choi heads out on a ride along with the paramedics and soon finds himself up against an injured hoarder. With his leg badly burned because of a kitchen accident, Choi needs to find a way to get him out of there as quickly as possible, something that becomes very difficult because of the state of the man’s home.
Meanwhile back at the hospital, Dr. Rhodes and Dr. Downey encounter a patient that though he believes is suffering from a variety of heart and health problems, may actually have been diagnosed. Upon the discovery, the doctors find themselves at odds about what the next best step for the patient is.
Elsewhere on CHICAGO MED, Reese and Dr. Manning deal with a patient who was bitten by a dog but they suspect there may be more to that story, and Goodwin has to deal with a surprise visit from the Joint Commission to assess how the hospital is doing.
