NEW GIRL is gifting fans with a two-part season finale tonight and the whole season has been leading up to the big wedding day. It’s the night before Schmidt and Cece’s wedding on the penultimate episode of NEW GIRL and Jess and Nick have pulled off a terrific rehearsal dinner. The pair are really settling in well to their roles as Best Man and Maid of Honor. But as everyone settles down for the night, something unexpected happens: Jess accidentally finds a ring in Sam’s jacket and she thinks he’s going to propose. At the same time, Schmidt realizes that he’s lost the flash drive containing his wedding vows. When he realizes it’s been destroyed, Nick and Winston help Schmidt try to re-write them.
Meanwhile, when Sam tries to get Jess alone to talk to her about something series, she starts a game of True American to avoid being alone with him. And Coach returns home for the wedding in time to help Winston with some Aly trouble.
In the season finale, Schmidt heads to Portland to convince Cece’s mother to attend the wedding in order to make his bride happy. He tasks Nick with covering up his disappearance until he can get back, which panics the Best Man. And Reagan makes a surprise appearance for the wedding, but is she going to start a relationship with Nick?
