Reality TV is getting way too real in this week’s LAW & ORDER: SVU. During a taping of a Bachelor-type show, a contestant named Melanie claims that she doesn’t remember going to bed with the show’s bachelor character and declares that she has been raped. Naturally, SVU detectives go to the house where the show is filmed and investigate the claim. One of the producers insists that their “reality show” is really just heavily scripted and nothing is wrong, but the detectives insist that they need to speak to Melanie. Once they meet with her, they learn that the Executive Producers may have tried to cover up a crime. As the SVU detectives delve deeper into the investigation, the producers seem determined to make them part of the show.
