Mellie secured herself the Republican nomination for President in last week’s SCANDAL when Susan dropped out of the primary and Olivia took Hollis Doyle down. But now Mellie has a dilemma: who should she choose to be her running mate?
Mellie sits down with Olivia and her employees this week and they have narrowed down the pool to three candidates with the three “Ms”: male, married and military. Unfortunately, as they go through each candidate they realize all of them are hiding a secret or shady past. That being said, they do decide to go with the only one among them who admits that he acted as a cocaine dealer in college and are going to try and clean up his past for him.
Elsewhere, Edison arrives at Olivia’s office to deliver Jake’s message from the last episode. Olivia doesn’t seem eager to actually help Jake, however. Is that just a ruse or does she know she can’t win by going up against her father here?
