E! Entertainment found success with THE ROYALS (which is set to return for a third season), so the network is branching out with a new scripted series.
THE ARRANGEMENT focuses on Megan Morrison, a young actress who auditions for a role opposite Kyle West, one of the world’s biggest action movie stars. Megan’s audition lands her praise from Kyle, along with a date. Soon, he offers her a $10 million “marriage contract”. But what is Kyle hiding? His mentor, Terrence Anderson — who runs a self-help organization called the Institute of the Higher Mind — seems to exert a lot of control over Kyle’s life and Megan needs to figure out a way to live with Kyle and the Institute.
If you think this sounds a little too familiar, you might notice similiarities between THE ARRANGEMENT and the story of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. While E! insists that the show isn’t inspired by anyone in particular, you can watch the preview below and judge for yourself.
