THE FLASH Season 3: The Show Introduces Kid Flash

Wally West will be suiting up in season 3 of THE FLASH! Joe’s son — who was first introduced to fans and his own father in season 2 — will become a hero in the upcoming season of the DC show. Last season, Wally was hit by a blast from a second particle accelerator explosion (which was caused by Earth-2’s Harrison Wells in an attempt to give Barry back his speed), but he didn’t seem to display any superhero powers.

But that might change soon enough, because the season ended with Barry Allen going back in time to save his mother’s life — and that’s move that is going to have a wide-spread effect on the show’s mythology. Star Grant Gustin already confirmed that the show will be exploring the “Flashpoint” arc from the comics, which found that Barry changing history had some huge consequences when he returned to the present (including well-known DC heroes becoming villains and villains like Captain Cold actually turning out to be heroes). Does this mean that Barry’s actions will turn Wally into a superhero?

All we know is that Wally is set to don the Kid Flash costume in the season premiere of THE FLASH airing on Tuesday, October 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
