The Netflix/Marvel partnership came to San Diego Comic-Con this year with a lot of treats for fans. First up was the news that the first Marvel series on Netflix — DAREDEVIL — has officially been renewed for a third season. There’s no word yet on a premiere date for season 3. A sizzle reel for DAREDEVIL and JESSICA JONES played during the panel and it’s the first video below.
Fans were also treated to a Comic Con teaser of the Netflix original series Marvel’s LUKE CAKE, which premieres globally on September 30, 2016 at 12:01am PT. This is the third show in the DEFENDERS series to launch on Netflix, following Marvel’s DAREDEVIL and Marvel’s JESSICA JONES, and leading up to the future release of Marvel’s IRON FIST, and ultimately, Marvel’s THE DEFENDERS. Marvel and Netflix also released a teaser video (the third one below) for THE DEFENDERS, which will unite all of the heroes in the Marvel/Netflix universe. And, finally, a teaser for LUKE CAGE was released (the final video).
