BLINDSPOT Season 2 Preview: Where We’ve Been and Where Are We Going Now?

blindspot

Jane Doe, Jane Doe, wherefore art thou, thy BLINDSPOT?

Where were we? Oh, yes! Assistant CIA Director Carter: dead. Assistant FBI Director Mayfair, dead. Both shot by Oscar, Jane Doe’s former lover and when we last saw BLINDSPOT, Jane’s terror-group handler. Now also dead, at the hand of Jane Doe, who Oscar told halfway through season one that she was behind the whole intrigue of her mysterious tattoos that were the clues that led to the slew of terror plots. Only, Jane Doe didn’t believe him. And up until the cliffhanger final episode of season one, her new love interest and FBI handler, Special Agent  Kurt Weller, would never have believed it, either. He thought she was his long-lost childhood friend, Taylor Shaw. Except his father confessed on his deathbed that he had killed Taylor Shaw, which meant that Jane Doe couldn’t be her, despite the supposed DNA evidence. So as the season ended last spring, Weller arrested Jane — fade to black. See the first video below for a quick review of season one.

That’s where we were. Now season two of BLINDSPOT premieres on Wednesday with a whole new paradigm. While we were all enjoying summer, Jane Doe was in a CIA detention center being tortured to get to the truth, as we are supposed to see in the season opener. And being Jane, she will now escape. The hunt will be on by the CIA and her former FBI teammates, who will try to turn her into a triple agent in her former terrorist group. Mistrust and betrayals will threaten to upend friendships, perhaps for good. Where will that lead us? See the second video for a quick preview of season two.

Watch the return of BLINDSPOT on Wednesday, October 14 at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on NBC (U.S.) and CTV (Canada) and in its new time slot beginning next week, Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Season two looks as promising for action and intrigue as season one!
