Eleanor Shellstrop has landed in The Good Place. Upon her death she’s brought before Michael (her guide to the realm that’s never actually called Heaven) to be told that she’s ended up in paradise because she was a lawyer who freed innocent people from death row.
Only there’s a problem. Eleanor is not a good person. She litters in front of anvironmental activisits, is rude to people and isn’t a lawyer….she actually sold fake vitamins to old people.
But The Good Place is nice…much nicer than The Bad Place and Eleanor doesn’t want to leave. She does, however, confess the mix-up to the soulmate she meets in The Good Place: Chidi. And since he’s vowed to stay by her side no matter what, he’s determined to try and make her into the kind of person who deserves to be in The Good Place.
A special one-hour premiere of THE GOOD PLACE airs on Monday, September 19 at 10:00 p.m. Et/PT on NBC. The show moves to its regular time on September 22 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
