The events of last season’s GREY’s ANATOMY finale had us all at the edge of our seats with Jo’s revelation of her past to DeLuca, Alex walking through the door with the worst possible timing ever, and the beating that followed soon after. Worry and surprise are the emotions felt after those final moments of season 12 and those seem to be the same emotions we’ll have in tonight’s highly anticipated season premiere, with DeLuca in the hospital and Alex possibly paying the consequences with jail time.
We’ve known Alex to be the rebel — the bad boy that we all love. He’s a loyal friend and a caring doctor — but sometimes he does crazy things. Beating up DeLuca to the point of sending him to the hospital surely qualifies as over-the-top— and Alex himself agrees.
In the sneak peek below, Meredith informs Alex of DeLuca’s brain condition that is cleared by the radiologist, but Alex insists on a second look by Mer and she agrees. She tells him that the situation is “…really bad” and that he should talk to the police, but he wants to verify his condition and hopefully have chance to speak with DeLuca first.
