Angus “Mac” MacGyver is a man who can do anything and build anything. He works for the Department of External Services, an intelligence organization that operates entirely in secret and outside of the law. When we first meet the 20-something, he’s confident, cocky and clever. But things take a turn for the worst in Lake Como when one of his co-workers — Nikki — is shot and killed during a mission to retrieve a bioglogical weapon. Mac takes her death particvularly hard because the pair had a burgeoning relationship.
But with the weapon now in the hands of criminals, the fractured team needs to pull together to retrieve it again. Helping Mac is maverick former CIA agent Jack Dalton, ex-field agent turned director of operations Patricia Thornton, and an unpredictable computer hacker named Riley Davis.
MACGYVER premieres tonight (September 23) at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
