There’s been a security breach inside the McCord family. On the season premiere of MADAM SECRETARY we learned that Jason’s computer had been the target of hackers, but it appears that something even bigger is at play. In tonight’s episode we learn that the FBI is helping the McCords investigate the hacking of Jason’s computer and whatever they learn eventually leads to the McCord children getting their own security detail. The girls seem alright with it, but Jason doesn’t like himself and his electronics being monitored.
Meanwhile, we learn that Algeria is on the brink of civil war and Elizabeth is attempting to negotiate a regime change to ensure stability. Unfortunately when Roy Curtis, the trusted U.S. Ambassador to Algeria dies, her plans go awry. At the same time, Henry learns that Hizb al-Shahid is destroying religious antiquities in Algeria, so he reaches out to Jose to see what the U.S. government can do to preserve them.
