NCIS: LOS ANGELES Sneak Peek: Wunderkind

Neil deGrasse Tyson. Elon Musk. Steve Wozniak. Michio Kaku. Steve Jobs. Bill Gates. Paul Allen. Nadia Volonev…wait, Nadia Volonev?

Yes, Nadia Volonev.

Like the others who knew at an early age that a groundbreaking vision could propel the world into new frontiers, tonight on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, the fictional Nadia Volonev (guest star Shree Crooks) is a 12-year-old with that same brilliance who is smart enough to give Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) some leads on a case that go beyond the extraordinary.

Shy and misunderstood, Nadia has early academic acceptance (but not social acceptance) at the prestigious Cal Tech University. Nadia takes the NCIS: LA team to possibilities that, at the very least, are “out-of-the-box.”

A secret that Nadia is keeping puts her life in danger. The team developing an electromagnetic weapon for the Navy is attacked, and NCIS: LOS ANGELES discovers a connection to international warfare. Despite efforts to keep her safe, Nadia is kidnapped.

Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) tails the teen, and Olsen gets a chance to show that his real-life brother, David, Eric’s stunt double, is not the only Olsen with bicycle skills.

Meanwhile, Kensi (Daniela Ruah) continues her struggle with learning how to walk and gets a first-hand view of the traumatic consequences of spinal cord injuries and witnesses the bravery of those victims (and the ones they love) as they try to recover from the life-altering ordeal.

Guest stars on tonight’s episode, “Parallel Resistors,” are Jasmine Kaur, Kandis Fay, Markus Flanagan, Hank Chen, Kurt Yaeger. Alice Amter, Tristen MacDonald, Victor Onuigbo, Jason Karasev, Eddie Liu, Matthew Grant Godbey and Hannah Tamminen.

“Parallel Resistors” was written by Joe Sachs and directed by Eric Laneuville.

NCIS: LOS ANGELES airs tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT after 60 MINUTES on CBS and on Global TV in Canada. Set your DVR in case of football overtime earlier in the day.
