LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Sneak Peek: Lily-Livered, Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker

If you like the Wild West and fabulous voices, tonight is your kind of night on LEGENDS OF TOMORROW. Joining Dominic Purcell (aka Mick Rory) in the battle of the voices are returning guest star, Jonathon Schaech as Jonah Hex and new guest star, Jeff Fahey as “two-bit, yellow-bellied” cattle rustler, Quentin Turnbull.

An aberration in the timeline draws the Legends back to the Old West, just in time to save Hex from the hangman’s noose. They discover that history is being altered and the Louisiana Purchase has become “Turnbull Country,” a wide swath of the burgeoning United States. The rustler and his bandit band are taking over the developing states and turning them into a lawless badlands. Has the aberration been caused by Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher), the speedster who is wreaking havoc with the Legends?

Hex, who had been friends with Rip (Arthur Darvill) before meeting the Legends on their last trip “back west,” is surprised to find out that not only is a woman in charge of the crew, but that his friend is missing.

Rory, a deliciously lawless sort himself, appreciates a little anarchy, but Sara (Caity Lotz) appoints Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) as the “Mick-sitter,” a job that Vixen finds daunting despite her powers.

Nate (Nick Zano), Ray (Brandon Routh) and Jax (Franz Drameh) attempt to infiltrate Turnball’s gang, but find themselves in a shootout. Having missed the LEGENDS OF TOMORROW’s other trip back to the Wild West, Nate gains first-hand knowledge that the romanticized version of history is much easier than the perils faced by the real settlers. Events leave his confidence shaken.

Tonight’s episode, “Outlaw Country,” was written by Matthew Maala & Chris Fedak and directed by Cherie Nowlan.

LEGENDS OF TOMORROW airs tonight (November 17) at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW in the U.S. and on CTV Two in Canada.
