Paige’s mother, Veronica (guest star Lea Thompson) has made it clear to Walter that she believes he and Paige are meant to be on SCORPION. Now that she’s sticking around her daughter’s place for a little vacation (which doesn’t exactly make Paige happy), she is feeding tips to Walter on how to woo Paige. And Veronica also “helps” Ralph maximize his troop cookie sales, unbeknownst to her daughter.
Meanwhile, the Scorpion team gets called in to help a woman trapped in her car at the bottom of the La Brea Tar Pits. Her oxygen is going to run out quickly and drown her in the tar, so Walter must suit up and swim through the tar pits to reach and save her.
