This is not the Oz you think you know. In the new NBC series EMERALD CITY, 20-year-old Dorothy Gale (Adria Arjona) is swept up into the eye of a tornado and transported to another world. In this mystical land, an all-powerful ruler (Vincent D’Onofrio) governs over one kingdom and has outlawed magic. But two problems threaten his reign: the wrath of a growing cauldron of witches and a looming disaster brought on by a mythical force.
Dorothy is thrust into the middle of the conflicts in this land, allowing her to discover her strength and identity as she tries to bring the world together. Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ana Ularu, Mido Hamada, Jordan Loughran, Gerran Howell and Joely Richardson also star.
EMERALD CITY will premiere on Friday, January 6 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
