Barry had a horrible glimpse into the future in the midseason finale of THE FLASH: Savitar is going to kill Iris.
Barry — who has finally gotten together with the object of his affections — is loathe to lose her so quickly and in so horrific a manner. So he devises a plan: this time he’s not going to change the past, he’s going to change the future. He’s convinced that he can figure out the events that leads to Iris’ death and then change something so that they never arrive at that conclusion. Of course, Barry has messed with the timeline before and it’s always resulted in disaster. Will that happen again here?
