It’s One Chicago week and the doctors of CHICAGO MED are back, dealing with the media, a difficult diagnosis, and a failing heart.
Dr. Rhodes feels the pressure after he gets a patient who miraculously survives the ambulance trip from the site of the accident to the hospital and the media becomes intrigued by the patient’s story.
Dr. Halstead and April find themselves treating an otherwise healthy young woman whose heart is failing. April offers the suggestion of using medication that has not been approved to help her after their options start getting eliminated.
Elsewhere on CHICAGO MED, Dr. Choi and Dr. Manning are faced with a challenging situation when they have to find the location of an infection on a patient who is paralyzed, while Dr. Reese works with a widower who relies on superhero costumes in order to find a purpose.
