One doctor finds himself treating his former teacher, while another balances the risks of a patient going through with surgery on this week’s CHICAGO MED.
Dr. Halstead finds himself treating his mentor who comes into Chicago Med in much worse shape than a basic illness, leaving the doctor to ask why it took her caretakers so long to get her to the hospital. With the discovery that she’s dealing with a life-threatening disease, Halstead is put in a tough spot and is faced with a moral decision to make.
Meanwhile, Dr. Rhodes’ patient this week is a 13 year-old who comes in with a diagnosis that leads Rhodes and the patient’s father to disagree when it comes to the course of treatment, which is a risky surgery.
Elsewhere on CHICAGO MED, Reese struggles with one of her and Dr. Charles’ latest patients when the pilot they are observing and treating brings back memories of Jason Wheeler’s suicide.
