Is God finally coming to LUCIFER? It looks like he is. A new preview that debuted at WonderCon this weekend set up the return of the show, which will happen in about a month.
According to the trailer below Lucifer is concocting a plan — one that will bring the angels back to Heaven. As for his mother, he plans to shut her out. As Linda rightly points out, bringing Charlotte close to Heaven could draw the attention of God, her husband. But Lucifer has a plan for that too — he wants both of his parents to get exactly what they deserve.
The preview also shows Tim Omundson (GALAVANT, SUPERNATURAL) appearing as….well, probably God. Is Daddy coming to Earth to deal with his family?
Elsewhere in the spring premiere, it’s two weeks after Chloe’s near death and Lucifer returns to L.A. just in time to help solve an up-and-coming guitarist’s murder and introduces the department to a ditzy stripper named Candy, a mysterious new woman in his life. But since his disappearance Chloe isn’t so eager to forgive and forget and he needs to prove to her that he should be let back on the team.
LUCIFER returns with all new episodes on Monday, May 1 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
