The network series orders for the 2017-2018 season has officially begun with NBC ordered RISE and THE BRAVE (formerly known as FOR GOD AND COUNTRY) to series.
RISE is a drama that is “inspired by a true story and revolves around a working-class high school drama department and the students who come alive under a passionate teacher and family man whose dedication to the program galvanizes the entire town,” according to the logline. The show was created by Jason Katims (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS & PARENTHOOD) and stars Auli’i Cravalho (MOANA) as well as Josh Radnor (HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER).
Meanwhile, THE BRAVE is described as “a heart-pounding look into the complex world of the country’s bravest military heroes who make personal sacrifices while executing the most challenging and dangerous missions behind enemy lines.” The show stars Mike Vogel (UNDER THE TIME) and Anne Heche.
